| 9/4/2024 - Mohawk Hudson Humane Society Empties for Animals |
AGA volunteers had a great time at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society Empties for Animals event!
We had approximately 15 to 17 people representing the AGA at the Empties for Animal event. For anyone who couldn’t make this event, there will be another opportunity in April 2025.

| 8/15/2024 - Mohawk Hudson Humane Society Empties for Animals |
SAVE THE DATE - Saturday, August 17, 2024 – 9:00 am -12:00 pm. However, if you need to leave earlier that is not a problem.
We can bring up to 20 people to volunteer at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
We will be volunteering in the Empties for Animals building at the MHHS, sorting can and bottles.
Note: Per the instructions from MHHS staff, children 10 and up may attend with a parent/guardian

Congratulations to our 2024 Award Winners!
John Wrafter Distinguished Chapter Service Award - This award is the Chapter’s highest honor and recognizes outstanding contributions that have had a major impact on Chapter activities. Past recipients generally have had more than one year of significantly active service and most have also previously received the Chapter Service Award (although this is not a prerequisite). This award was presented to Kim Skiba.
Outstanding Achievement in Government Accountability Award – This award recognizes government employees who have demonstrated sustained outstanding leadership and made notable contributions to government accountability. This award was presented to Melissa Fiore.
Robert H Attmore Tone from the Top Award - This award recognizes those members who set the tone at the top with their staff for encouraging professional development, certification, and association membership and participation. This award was presented to Layli Dietz.
Thomas J Goodfellow Chapter Champion Award – This award recognizes members who have had at least ten years of active service to AGA. It is the Chapter’s hall of fame award. This award was presented to Dave Robertson.
Emerging Leader Award – This new award recognizes members who have demonstrated the skills to be an outstanding leader and who have shown a commitment to improving Chapter operations. This award was presented to Caitlin Colacino.
