Event Details: The Association of Government Accountants, the Foundation for Accounting Education, and the Institute of Management Accountants are pleased to announce a seminar on Ethics. The course is designed for both professionals in public accounting and all other government accountability professionals.
This seminar complements the course presented by the AGA last year, but attendance at last year’s course is not a requirement to attend this year.
The two-hour Ethics seminar addresses part of the requirement for CPAs to complete at least four contact hours in professional ethics during each triennial registration period. This course builds on the ethics foundation course and includes updates on the latest NYS and AICPA rules on ethics and a section specifically on government ethics with some case studies.
Highlights include:
• Update on New York State ethics rules
• Update on AICPA ethics rules
• Ethical guidance for employment in government
• Recent litigation related to ethical concerns/issues
• Case studies in government relating to ethical issues
This course is being offered at a significant cost reduction for AGA members! Not a member? Join today and receive many benefits including discounts at all AGA events!
